Hi folks, I'm new to the forum but not exactly new to teardrops, my wife and I and little boy having first slept in one during a Montana family reunion some 35, or so, years ago. As a kid I remember thinking how goofy -- in a cool sort of way -- they looked. Now I want to build one! Once again, it's just the two of us and we think it will be fun to build and to use on trips to visit our kids scattered from north to south and to the west coast of this great nation.
I'd like to discus some basic design issues, so I'm going looking for the right string in the forum.
BTW, thanks mikenchell dot com for making this possible!

Welcome to the playground Wells. If you check out the Hall of Fame you will find lots of great ideas.

Have fun, read a lot and ask away. What we ask in return is you feed the need. :pictures: :pictures: :pictures:

Wells,
look in the design libraryfor profiles and also download the generic Benroy plans, you can use those to build just about any Teardrop or TT( might take some minor tweaking but it can be done.

Also do not forget to bring your sense of humor.

Have fun and welcome to the squirrel food store 8)

WELCOME!! :applause:

Yes, check out the Generic Benroy Link at the top of the page. I am in the process of building it for my first TD, and my first real wood working experience.

If ya need help, just ask, and take lot-o-pictures for us!!!

Welcome Wells,

What part of North Dakota are you from? It seems like we have a couple of members up there (Bismark & Minot if I remember correctly). I'm in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

Well Rick, what are you waiting for?

And welcome aboard Wells. Remember, there isn't a question that at least one us can't answer. Did I say that right?

If I was more whipped myself, I'd have a lot more money in the bank.
Here we go again!
