Hello from Kansas

Postby pauld3 » Sat Jan 27, 2007 9:19 am

Hello, my name is Paul and ive been visiting this post for a little while, and decided to take the leap and introduce myself.
The wife and I like to camp and saw a show the had some teardrops on it and both fell in love with them, so we decided to see what we could come up with. we have downloaded the kuffel creek plans and have visited camping classics site.
I like the aluminum covered tears and she likes the woodys. So I guess where building a woody.

Well anyway hello and thanks in advance for any advice

HAH!!!

Welcome, Paul!!!

Why don't you guys compromise and do wood sides and aluminum roof and hatch? That's a gorgeous combination, especially with the colored aluminum available.

There are a whole bunch of builds done here like that.
Here we go again!

Welcome Paul, :D
There is a lot of good info on this site from a lot of great people. If it is any help to you on your build check out my page @ www.tearsojoy.com/cafe.html. This is the last Woodie that I built and I am starting another here in about 2 weeks. If I can be of any help just email me.

Welcome Paul,
What part of Kansas are you from? If you want to see a lot of different trailers all at once you should plan a trip to Minden NE this summer. There will be a bunch up there in June.

Thanks for the encouragement, and we do like the idea of wood sides with aluminum top.
We are wanting to go to gathering in Nebraska, but problably will not have the trailer done by then, but we will try. I think we'll go ahead and register and if nothing else take a tent. What do you all think, would that be acceptable?

Thanks Paul and Lynn

That goes for us too, PM us and depending on weather we'll be glad to make a run over the border to show off the trailer. It's not a tear. but looks alot like one.

Hey guys this sounds like the start of a mini gathering.
