Hello from SC

Postby wok » Fri Feb 02, 2007 1:28 am

Hello all,
I have already made a few posts, but I guess I should still introduce myself. I am a student living in Clemson, SC. I have wanted to build a tiny travel trailer for years, but couldnt afford it. When I found out how cheap I could get a trailer (4x8 12' wheels HF for 199), I decided to go for it. I'm now a few weeks into my build, with the walls just starting to go up. My signature should have links to my two albums, and I would love any feedback or suggestions that you may have to offer.

hahaha. I was wondering when someone was going to say something   .. The things on each side in the middle that appear to be doors are actually just me filling in the space to make a 10 ft long (at the buldge of round part) side. The bottoms will be filled now that I lowerd the trailer tnoight, and know where to cut fender curve. The door will most likely be on the rear left side, and windows will be a few to a side. I havent done windows are door cutouts yet because my mind is changing every 5 seconds, so I wanted to get the walls up, and then see where i want them first.

I did some work. this part is the un-fun part.. dealing with weird litle design flaws that come with using my own design, and not having snazzy tools. (almost every single bit of wood has been cut with a 5 dollar walmart hand saw, including the plywood, except for curves) here are some of the pics...

Well , you got to do , what you got to do.. Fancy Tools make it nice......BUT , you don't have to have them..... You can do about anything , IF you want it Bad Enough..... Looks like your doing a GREAT JOB.

Thank you for the compliment. I agree, you can do about anything IF you want if bad enough... And there is something kinda neat about using the basic tools I have realized.. hard to explain.. but I kind of feel like I am building it more with my bare hands... I can't wait to go home and finally finish it!! :)

I was going to clemson, but I transferred back to a FLA school that offered my major completely online, and for a lot cheaper than Clemson, and I will be done sooner. I'm only here because my lady friend is getting her doctrate from clemson. Technically we live 1.5 miles over the county border in Seneca, near the dodge dealer on 123.... Do you live in the area, or are you familiar with it?
