If my count is correct 66 of the last 100 newbies to join have zero posts.
I don't have anything to say but I blab away any how. We are going to have to police this more closely we may have to have a zero tolerance for zero posters. Just hit the reply button and jump in. Just kiddin' but no question is dumb and no post is silly. Someone out there needs to know the same thing. Dive in the waters fine

And I have asked some really stupid questions without being criticized as well... have at it!!

Since this forum started I've only heard of one person that didn't like the answers he got here. I guess that means everyone else thought the water was fine!

So jump on in... ramble a little bit... we need some new questions to answer!

I think I know the thread you are referring to Mike, I came across it the other day... that was very odd. Constructive Criticism is one of the best things about this forum. Its how things are learned and results are improved.

Are you sure he changed it? I thought he just turned it inside-out.

(That trick always worked for ME.)

I'm sure I'm one of the 66. So, here's my first post. I really appreciate all of the information on the forum - it's inspired me to try to build a weekender variant.

Welcome Jaxdad,
That is a great design. On thing you need to pay attention to is the height of that loo.

to get the ceiling height for mine I had my husband sit on the loo and measured the needed height. Porta potties tend to be 15 to 18 inches.

As far as putting the potty near the head of the bed, you can always sit it outside in a tent at night.

Jaxdadd, maybe you could omit the cabinets in the rear of the cabin, running the galley bulkhead to the ceiling. Then you could sleep with your heads in the rear of the cabin, away from the potty. The area ahead of the door could be divided in half, with one half for the toilet as you have shown, and the other half could be a floor to ceiling closet for storage. Maybe have a shelf near the top of the closet for a TV. Just some food for thought.
