New guy from Utah

Postby BrettP » Mon Jun 25, 2007 12:17 pm

Another new guy here. I am happy to have found this forum. I saw a documentary about travel trailers a few years ago and they had a little segment on the teardrop. I though they were interesting so I started to look into them. I was ever more exited to find out that you can build one. I haven't started building yet. I am still trying to decide on which style and amenities.

Anyway glad to be here.

Welcome aboard Brett,
I just left Utah to take a job here in Arizona. You just missed a gathering in Hanksville, didn't make it myself. But you can find pic. on this site..Jim G

Brett welcome. There are many ideas here. remember to take in account your TV (tow vehicle). A geo metro and a kenworth have different abilities. An offroad tear and one pulled by a smart car (makes the geo look big) are built different. Have fun and build a trailer that fills your needs.

Mark your calendar. There's another gathering in Utah on Sept 14-17 in Bear Lake.

I'm serious! I just started my build, but learned so much in Hanksville that I would have done things differently with my chassis.

Oh, and Welcome to the nuthouse.

Hey Brett. Welcome to the club. I have been looking through this site for over a month and I'm still changing my design from day to day! It appears to be a never ending process, just ask someone who has already built one or twelve!

Jim

Oh, please submit some pictures! It's like a form of crack around here!

Howdy Brett,

Welcome aboard.

Another TD junkie has just been created. We are just one big dysfunctional family here, so just jump on in, the water's not too deep, and the freindships you make could last forever.

Glad you're here. :D

Thanks for that warm welcome.

Thanks to everyone for that warm welcome. I have been perusing thru this great forum for the past few weeks. There is a ton of info and lots of great pictures. It has spurred me on in my build. I am in the process of deciding on some features I want.

As a side note I work with a 3D CAD system for a living and have decided to draw up my TD. I will also create some "blue prints" to work from.

Cheers
