newbie From west central Illinois

Hi my name is Bill was looking to buy a new or used camper off ebay when seeing all the cd's on how to build one yourself.. but noticing the pictures with them seamed old so I wanted more info and ran into this site been reading every sence. I am going to be building a teardrop now just looking at everyone else's to get an idea of what I really want in it.

Two very helpful resources the forum has to offer (all links at the top are important). Posting a question also will get you many answers (some will work better for you than others). Remember who you are building this trailer for, and build it as simple (or complicated) as you like. Oh welcome, and enjoy your time here (recorded with a lot of pictures I hope).

Bill welcome to the forum. I am sure you will find it valuable as you build your own Tear Drop.

There is a gathering at Shabonna Lakes State Park , south of Dekalb, IL, October 5-7. Take a drive out and see a few home built and a few manufactured TD and get some ideas, meet a few of us on the forum and get a taste of these fun little campers.

Hi Bill, welcome to the madness. I am a transplanted Illinoian, now in So Calif. Left Loves Park, Ill 55 years ago. Do try to get to that Gathering back there, you will meet a bunch of nice people and learn a lot about teardrops and how they are put together. Take pics and post em.
