Today i got the spirit and started building my first teardrop.
Have been planning it and thinking about it for a couple of years now.
It is going to be a 10x4 Grumman2. Thanks, Andrew, for your design library

Welcome Knut,

It looks like you are off to a good start.

How's the weather in Norway?

Hope you enjoy the forum. If you have any questions just ask. And post lots of pictures. But it looks like you've got that part down. :)

to the playground Knut. What part of Norway are you from. I sent almost two years near Stavanger a bunch of years ago!

Profile looks great and I can't wait to see the finish.

Keep the bubble oil level :pictures:

It almost fell apart over the speedbumps. I used an hour to rip it apart. At that time it was dark outside so no pics. The frame is in good condition

Knut

Velkommen Onboard.

PS - Swedish is just a little more easier than Norwegian..for me..Even though the Swedes and Norwegians can understand each other very well.

Great choice on the Profile..

We could meet up in Nordkapp next summer.. ;)

Hi Heikki

Your trailer looks nice. What are you using for skin on the outside?
Maybe we meet on Nordkapp, its just 2200 km from were i live
It is shorter for me to go to stockholm and take ferry to Finland.
Maybe we kan have a Scandinavian teardrop meeting :D

Hej Hej knut.. ;) Im using a fiberglass sheeting ... 1.5mm in thickness..
Now Im waiting for the vinyl to be done so that can be applied..

Vinyl and Fenders should be very close the same in color...Im hoping anyway..

Wow that is far to travel up North.. Your right its easier to come to Stockholm and then by Silja Line or Viking Line over to Helsinki..

It would be great to have a teardrop meeting either in Norway or Sweden or Finland...

So Knut you are in the Southern part of Norge ...Correct?

We,ll have to meet coming summer.. Maybe by then others will have tears built also...but in any case it would be nice to see 2 teardrops together here in Scandinavia..

Velkommen, from Southern California, Knut. Good to have you on the forum, and hope your build on that caravan frame goes well. So, you live in Tonsberg, just a bit south of Oslo. I visited the Viking Ship Museum while in Norway and had a ball discovering the talents of my Viking ancestors, while in Oslo.

I do think that Nordkapp may be a bit out of the way for you and Heikki, since it is the place that is the farthest north in all of Europe. However, it would be interesting to have 2 teardrops, at the top of those 1000 foot cliffs, enjoying the midnight sun. If you do make it, be sure to post some pics of the event. Enjoy the trip through the recently completed tunnel.

I am sure you have some ideas regarding the type of tear you are building. You can get lots of information here on the board, and if all else fails you can hop a plane to Finland and check out the Classic Finn's beautiful teardrop trailer. Enjoy your build, take and post pics.
