Hi All. I'm a schemer and a dreamer so I just might fit in here. After owning several Apache's and Scottys I was just dissatisfied. How to get Apache quality in something that was as easy as a Scotty to set up, and be easy to move around the campsite by hand too. I couldn't find it so I guess I'll have to build it! Seems like a teardrop might fit the bill, but one I can stand up in. Should be interesting....dreamin about the design is half the fun... ;)

Hi C E,

Welcome to the forum. As far as a trailer you can stand up in there are several. You might check out the Winter Warrior or the Puffin. And I am sure there are several more, but those two come to mind. Just check their albums.

Winter Warrior by Rayvillian and the Puffin by Steve Wolverton.

Steve Wolverton - http://tnttt.com/album_ ... ser_id=404

Anyway, have fun and do some looking at the site and I'm sure you will find more. And when you decide to start your build, post lots of pics.

Hey Embers,

Welcome to the forum. I'm a former Saginaw resident too! In fact, I'll be in town this morning!!! But I won't have a teardrop with me.

Building a standy! Excellent idea. I am building a giant teardrop right now.

The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten, so build your teardrop with the best materials...

Thanks for the welcome, and the ideas. About the only thing I reject out-of-hand is a drop down floor. I had one in both scotties and shook myself up in the middle of the night a couple of times by forgetting the drop was there! :o Wifey actually fell because of it, so no drop floor. Everything else is negotible.
