The obligatory newbie statement

Postby Bill P » Tue Sep 11, 2007 2:06 pm

I've lurked here for the past few weeks and finally decided to join the fray.

I just purchased a Little Guy 5-Wide and plan to pick it up in two weeks. I am going go out at least one weekend before the weather changes. My tow vehicle is a 97 Jeep Wrangler with 4.0 L six. I am really jazzed about being a memeber of this community.

Any suggestions on nice areas close to KC where I should go?

Bill

Thanks for the welcome.

My Jeep is a demanding vixen. I have around 70K on her and she now wants to pull into a Jeep dealer each time I drive by one. She also has the aerodynamics of a brick. But I do love her so.

Welcome Bill as you see there are several people near you in Mo and Kansas area. Welcome to the South Central Tear Region.
Now get in your reservations for LCG II in Lake Bisteau near Shreveport, La for the last weekend in October. Just look in the South Central folder and for LCG II. Come join in. If you cannot make it, we will have other gathering close to you.

Thanks for all of the suggestions regarding get togethers and locations in the KC and the South Central area. I'm really looking forward to meeting y'all.

My avatar picture is not my dog. It's an image I found on the net. It's how I feel on Mondays. I'll replace it with a picture of my Jeep (Stella)and my new TD when I pick it up .

Is a TD male or female?

Any vehicle or vessle people ride inside of or on top of is usually considered female for obvious reasons.

Welcome to our great South Central group.... really anything South or Central fits. THere is the one Exminnesota boy mentioned, then a little gettogether this weekend in Eastern Kansas and we've hoping to have a early Dec. gathering in Missouri somewhere.
OH !!! Don't miss LCG in October !!!! There are several KS and MO folks coming ... you could convoy !!!

Image to the playground Bill. As Julie said anything Central works around here. North Central is our designation but everyone knows Missouri is Southern and they have been kind enough to adopt the whole area. :D

Do by all means get to Excelsior if you can. You will love the teardrops that are going. :(

Teardrops can be girls or boys cause you ain't supposed to ride em. :R

Enjoy

Welcome Bill
Come out to Watkins this weekend even if you don't have the tear yet. We'll have the Winter Warrior out there and I guess since it's a warrior it must be male. If it was female would it be a Amazon? Any way welcome to the madness.
