Hi from SouthernGirl

HI all. I've been lurking here for a bit and finally registered today. I have gotten the bug to get my very own teardrop which sounds perfect for my purposes.

I'm 50ish, single and a cyclist (legs not motor). It just sounds perfect to put the bike in the bed of the truck and the teardrop on the back and head out. My prospective TV doesn't have much in the way of horses, Ford Ranger, so the lighter the better. I've camped when I was young, so pretty well know what I'm getting myself into. But I've never towed any kind of trailer so that's where my stupid questions will come in later.

BTW, I'm in Middle Tennessee

Thanks in advance for all your help, plus all you have already given while I've been lurking.

Susan

Hey Susan,

I'm in Smyrna, and if you'd like to come by and look at one, let me know. I just finished a BenRoy and have a 2006 5x8 Silver Shadow Yoder Toter for sale.

Welcome to the forum!

I started out posting the pic but it was too big.

We are selling it because we built a 5x8 BenRoy. We built a 4x8 cubby 2 years ago and found it to be a little small. A lady friend of ours fell in love with it and we sold it to her. I did not have time to build another tear then, so we bought the Yoder Toter as a hold over until we could get around to another build. We are just finishing up the 5x8 BenRoy (DragonFly) now. I always have to have a project going on. There is absolutly no problems with the Yoder Toter, have never had a water leak and it pulls great. I used the old matresses in the new one we built, so I have new matresses for the Yoder Toter.

We take the DragonFly on its Maiden Voyage tomorrow to AEDC in Tullahoma! Should be back Friday or Saturday.

Let me know if you'd like to come by, we'd be glad to show both of them.

PS: Sorry I can't look at your pictures, but that site is blocked here at work.

Welcome to an adventure, may your journey take you to distant exciting places. As a note I bicycle also so I installed a hitch on the back of my TD to hold my bike carrier. Good luck
