hi im in the process of building a 5x8 tear ,i just cant decide on aluminum for skinning or just painting the epoxy,i have already applied the epoxy and will have it smooth as glass, being a bodyman helps,i just want to be sure it lasts.Ive thought about putting aluminum on it like race car bodies are made from & then painting that, I want to use imron paint and what ya have to pay for that i just want to be sure it lasts, any opinions? Thanks :)

Michael,

Welcome to the board. What part of PA you from??

I would think that if you have the entire teardrop in smooth epoxy, that painting it would be good and last a long time. I'm by far not an expert on this.

Got any pictures???

Base clear over glass. Pictures are wonderful things. 8)

Nice to see we're getting a few more on this end of the state.
