New Teardrop Builder (ok, really just planning right now)

Hey Gang,

Just wanted to introduce myself, I've already gotten a TON of useful knowledge and tips from the site, so I've decided to stop lurking.

I'm Steve, live in Clarksville TN, and am planning my first Teardrop trailer. I'm going with a variation of the "Trailer for Two", 5 foot wide, stressed skin sides, and finished as a woody.

My other interests include bicycle touring, so I'm going to figure out a way to rig a bicycle mount into the design so that it doesn't look "Cobbled" together.

My basic design ideas are "Build it Light, Build it Right", and "KISS". Since my wood butchering skills are very rusty, (I was almost not-too-bad once when I was in the Army), I think that by keeping the design for the galley as simple as possible in terms of 'Detail work' and going for a very functional design I can accomplish what I want. (A plus is that I can always upscale the galley later)

Looking forward to picking your brains, and meeting some of you in the future.

Steve W.

Steve,

Welcome to the board. You can incorporate the bike carrier really easy. Just weld on a receiver hitch to the back underneath your frame.
