Hello from Delaware

Postby baycamper » Tue Apr 08, 2008 7:24 pm

I've really enjoyed browsing the site so far and am amazed at the creativity and skill of the builders here. I finished a 16 ft. sailboat last year, but am already looking toward my next project for land traveling. There is so much great info here. I do have a few questions though, i.e., have most of you builders used the generic BenRoy plans or something else, like the Kuffle Creek plans? It takes time to digest all of this information, but its fun planning a new project.

Welcome to the forum! I'm building a Generic Benroy. The price for the plans were just right and besides, Mike did an awesome job on it!

Hello and welcome!

I was a total beginner when I started my build and I went right by the Generic Benroy Plans that Mike (above) so graciously put together. I enjoyed the build process emensly, and plan on building a small boat in the near future.

Make sure you check out the Hall of Fame and design library in the above menu. You might find a style you like and can use the Generic Benroy plans as a go by.

We would love to see some pictures of your boat, so post them if you can.

Image to the playground. The Generic plans are a great plan no matter what profile you choose. They are very adaptable.

We also have loads of build threads with some comprehensive information. Now I did mine, with a lot of help from this board, and I have a limited remodeling history. Built a book shelf too. 8)

Just remember---it's a box---and you need to take lots of :pictures: :pictures: :pictures: to keep the bubble oil level. 8)

Thanks for all of your greetings. I'll put up a picture of the boat as soon as I figure out how to re-size it; its too large right now. I'm working from a Mac that was a gift from my daughter, and she isn't here to help. As soon as I figure it out I'll post a pic.

Thanks, I'm glad you can see the photo. I tried to embed the picture in the post, but for some reason it didn't work. I'm still working on it, trying to correct it or figure out what I did wrong.

Bay Camper I put the picture in your post. You can see what I did if you "edit" or "quote".

When embedding a picture you first click on the thumbnail then copy the resulting url. Then you need to click on Img, paste and close tags. That should get you there.

REally nice boat
