I just found your site,downloaded Benroy plans,went to redtrailers site,I posted a question about the trailers,but I'll ask again here. Which trailer,do you buy,the red 8" wheel,model # SJ-8510 or the black 12" wheel,Model SJ-8530. I'm ready to get started!

8" wheels are pretty tiny, especially on rough roads! I used the #8531 model (5'x8') with 12" wheels. It worked great!

I think you'll find most here who buy the kit trailers either go with 4x8 or 5x8 with the 12 inch wheels. Those who build custom frames seem to like both the 13 and 14 inch wheels.

Welcome to the forum. Planning and building a TD is habit forming and you'll enjoy it.

Image to the playground Arlene.

Unless you are making a real small TD I would go with the 12" wheels. Preferably with 5 lugs.

Enjoy the board and dig out the camera cause it keeps the bubble oil level.

IMHO, the larger wheels always look better. I went with a custom trailer with 15" wheels.

Welcome.
Little wheels go into potholes easier than the bigger ones causing a rougher ride. Go with the bigger wheels. They look better too.
I made my chassis with 14 " wheels. Look at pictures in the "Hall Of Fame"
at the top of the page. See what appeals to you and take notes and ask questions. Gather as much information as you can and then start building.
I'm sure you've already noticed its addictive. Its probly too late. Your in it with the rest of us now
Good luck with your build and post pics. After all we have to feed our habit too
