Big hello from Allen, Tx

Postby pathdoc2 » Sat Jun 07, 2008 7:29 am

Hey everyone,
I'm extremely excited to have found this forum.
I'm 42 and love to build things.
I've ordered plans for a Cubby and will be begin construction this summer.
My first big question.
Where can I find a set of old curvy hot rod fenders?
I like the style similiar to the ones on Gern' Texas teardrops.

Thanks in advance and look forward to one fun project.

Hi Steve,

Welcome to the forum. As far as the first question goes, go down to the "Teardrop Construction Tips & Techniques" forum and ask and I'm sure you will get some excellent answers. building a Cubby is great, just be sure and post pictures of your build as you go, so we can keep up with your progress.....it also helps if you have questions and we can look at a picture to see what you are seeing. Hope you have fun.

See you around.

One place to look for fenders is http://www.lilbear.teardrops.net/parts3.html#fenders. At the top of the page is "Rich's list" and there are other options as well.

welcome steve
