Howdy!!!

Postby highspeed » Sun Jul 06, 2008 12:54 am

My name is Jesse and I'm a teardrop-a-holic. :?

Just thought I would give a good, hearty Texas howdy. I have been looking around and wanting to build for a while. Still trying to find an angle to convince the wife it is my duty to build one. Hopefully she will come around. Til then I am the kid at the candy store window, wanting it all. :(

Welcome to the forum! Take your wife to a gathering. Once she has experienced how much fun it is and how nice the people are, she will be hooked!

Welcome Jessee

You are in luck. Next weekend at Matagorda Nature Park there is a gathering of fellow teardroppers. Perfect time to bring the wife out to experience first hand why you have become obsessed. Come and camp with us or just come out for the day and enjoy our hospitality and pot luck supper Saturday night. We are always happy to show off our creations.
My wife and I are driving 525 miles just to camp with our friends.
Hope to see you both.

I hope I can catch a break from work to come out and see what its all about. I will be working the graveyard shift this weekend. Thanks for all the greetings. It might not be anytime soon, but I will be teardrop that goes where its towed to. Also what is the cost to cure this itch??? I figure I can build a nice one for about $1500 - $2000. Am I in the right ballpark?

Welcome aboard....you are close to ballpark...depending on your scrounging and build skils and level of amenities wanted/needed, you can build one from a grand to triple that...3 grand and above will give you a top shelf tear with lots of bells and whistles...not to mention lotssa ohhhs and ahhhs....

Be sure to set up a budget to decorate and share the experience. Oh and take lots of pictures cause it keeps the bubble oil level.
