Another old broad buys a trailer

Postby MonicaT » Tue Jul 05, 2016 10:36 pm

Hi! I'm from the SF Bay Area, work with individuals with autism, and as of July 2, the owner of a used 2016 White Water Retro 166. Now I know you purists may have just stopped reading since I am a "poser," but understand that as much as I would love to have the time, money, and know-how to refurbish a truly vintage trailer, I'm not there yet. In fact, I've yet to hitch up my new toy and drive it away, let alone back it up... :frightened:

Welcome Monica. You have a nice trailer there and it should work fine for you. We will put you on the tiny travel trailer side and then you fit right in.

Monica,

Do yourself a favor and have that trailer and your tow vehicle hitched and
moved to an empty parking lot to play a little. (You know the time to learn is
before you are planning a trip to use it.)

Even with a little experience trailering I have done the same the first time out
Every Year. Love those parking spaces and long lines to work on my backing.
I'll do a few braking tests too.

Some reacclimatization helps avoid problems later.
