Hello from North Utah!

Postby bonfire » Mon Jul 11, 2016 11:56 am

I was introduced to the site by jkidd6339, who I have worked with. I'm 26 and my girlfriend and I are looking to downsize our lives into a mobile teardrop trailer so we can quit our jobs and "get free!"

I stumbled across the Nano teardrop design based on the harbor freight trailer in a couple of the threads. If there are any other similar and simple teardrop trailer designs, I'd love to hear them! We're looking to buy or build a trailer before October. We are planning to pull the trailer with our 4 cylinder Subaru Forester (max 2400 lbs. towing with trailer brakes, 1000 lbs. without brakes)

Any and all advice, criticism, and opinions are 100% welcome and encouraged :D

We drove across the country and back to pickup Glenn Wallin's Teardop #4 "Honey Lodge" and we couldn't be happier!

Wow, that was quick. Good for you, latching onto a teardrop that has already been built. Now the fun beguins. Be sure to check out the local Tearjerker chapter, as you will meet many other interesting teardrop users. Now, If it is in your future plans, swing on down to So Calif, and stop by for a truely teardrop welcome at my place. There are no other campers more friendly than your fellow TDers. Good luck on your travels, since that is what it is all about. Enjoy.
:) 8) Roly, the li'l ol' woody teardrop builder is good ol' So Calf.
