Hey Guys,
After lurking and dreaming of having my own TD, I'm starting a new build on a Northern 5x8 platform. I'll try to post some pics as things get interesting. Some of the mods to the trailer may be worth sharing with the community. I changed the hitch to heavy duty so that I could mount a trailer jack in the middle, just because I like the look better. Then I bolted on some adapters so that I could fit my old school 15 inch 6x5.5 slotted mags that I had sitting in the garage. The hitch lowered the mount by 2 inches and the wheels raised the trailer about 2.5 so I call it a wash. Lastly, I added shocks to dampen the bouncing. Tomorrow, I'll be starting on the floor frames, wish me luck.
