New father/son build in Lousiana

Postby Wildfire » Sat Jun 03, 2017 11:25 am

Hi - forum looks great, thanks for adding me.

My 12-year old son and I are building a teardrop together and the site is a great resource.

We jumped in a few months back with a rough idea and started cutting plywood, sort of planning as we go.

Will post up some pics in a bit.

Thanks,
Scott

Right on! I'm glad that you recruited your 12 yr old, perfect age for this type of project. So much to learn..
Good luck and happy times!

Recruited, it was his idea, sort of.

He wanted a "tree house" on wheels. Figured this was the best way to get that done. So far so good.

Good for you! You will have many good memories and teach your son some valuable skills in the process. Better than buying him video games!!

When you are all done... you can still park it in the back yard and let him and his friends camp in it.

I agree Don. I have great memories of my father and I building a small hydroplane boat for me when I was 13 or so.
