Newbie from Ottawa, Canada

Hello Everyone,

I have been lurking on this site for a while and decided to become a member. My name is Cody and I am from Ottawa Ontario.

Recently we have expanded our family unit from 2 members to 3 and finding that tenting is not as much fun as it used to be. Flying trips are also becoming quite cost prohibitive.

I recently showed my spouse a couple tear drop trailers and she seemed interested in either building or getting one. I have quite handy and mechanically inclined and quite familiar with tools, having gutting and remodeled our house a couple years ago.

We have been trying to find a teardrop to rent to see if it meets all of our needs. If the experience goes well, I plan on building one myself.

I was thinking a building a slightly larger one. 5X10 or 6X12, because I am fairly tall, and would love to have enough room for my child to have her own bunk bed.

Anyway if anyone know a place to rent a teardrop around Ottawa that will not cost me an arm and a leg, I am all ears. The rental doesn't have to be big, just good enough to give me a sample of the teardrop lifestyle.

Not sure who rents them but there is a place between Pembroke and Petawawa that sells them , they may rent
