California Riverside Retro to Look Element Cargo Camper

Postby FoxenTec » Thu Nov 02, 2017 10:53 pm

New to TNTT. Just moved from the coast of Cali to the valley. We are replacing our wonderful Riverside Retro 155XL with a Cargo Camper build. Retro trailer is up for sale on rvtrader. Why? Not sure but something to keep me busy. We will be using a new Look Element V Nose 6 x 10 Cargo trailer for the base. Looking forward to all the support this webiste offers for camper builders. Windows are the first mod at hand and I am finding that it is difficult to find someone who can add them and I am not sure I have the skill. Many of the local cargo trailer places will only order them with windows but cannot offer any help with installing windows in an existing cargo trailer.

windows are easy to do yourself blue tape and a sharpie right angle grinder and ten snips lay window up to trailer (might want another set of hands )mark around the outside then remove window and mark about a 1/2 in. inside that mark the 2nd mark is the one you want to cut I always use windows that will go inside my studs hope this helps you

Thank you BCToys for the ideas on cutting in the windows. I will consider.

Thank you for the welcome aviatorbrew for the welcome. We are up in Clovis not to far from you. Looking forward to some fun with the build.
