Noob Researching Build

Postby Tucson_John » Mon Sep 17, 2018 5:45 pm

Hi folks,

I'm currently researching for my first build. I actually have two builds I want to do, one will be an ultralight simple build to tow behind my tiny car for a cross country road trip I plan to do next year, another is my "main" build for my general backcountry camper. I figure the first build will be my learning build, although I expect it to be much different than my second. Right now just doing research and getting my mind blown by all the different designs out there. :)

Welcome, there are a few builders in Tucson and a few of us up in the valley.

It's probably a good idea to build the lightweight one first to get the idea of building light etched in your head. I'm building an off road tear now but my wood working has been cabinets and furniture so lightweight didn't matter and my tear is a heavyweight because of that.
