Arizona Teardrop Newb

Earl here! Transplanted to Phoenix from Nebraska.

Bought our 1st teardrop last May. Did our research and found the the one we wanted with just about everything we wanted in a teardrop experience.

Until.............. Washboard forest road.

We knew it was a homemade trailer when we bought it. But, it pretty much shook itself apart. It revealed some very questionable engineering and construction aspects that I must now deconstruct and rebuild. That is why I am here! Hopefully get some tips and tricks to get this the way I want it to be.

I rebuilt the galley already using screws (not nails or staples) and 2 x 2's, added more legroom (i am 6'3"), and pulled the gas openers off (they were stressing the latch and letting the hatch vibrate).

So...off to help topics.... Galley hatch, replacing door windows, redoing the formica skin etc.

I am going to leave the skin alone for now. The formica was an interesting choice for sure. It is pulling away from the passenger side, so I will need to re glue it to keep it intact.
