Just found this forum while looking into building a foamie. Watched some good and bad YouTube videos and now finding some good blogs etc. I have had a tent, a truck cap, a tent trailer, a travel trailer and currently camp in a 5th wheel however it is on an established permanent seasonal site. We love that but would like something to still get out in the woods and off the beaten path once in a while. Looking at going the direction of perhaps a “Pod” that can be easily take. off and on a utility trailer, light enough to pull behind any of our vehicles but strong enough to take a snow load. Should be easy enough - LOL. I’m looking forward to checking out the posts here of the pro’s and con’s as well as pro tips (learn from other people’s oops.
