With the backsplashes, the fir plywood is finally just about all covered up.

Looking Good, Karebru.
Careful with that contact cement, it can make any day seem like New Years Eve! :FNP

Looks fantastic! The grey is a nice contrast to your wood finishes.

While water-based adhesives, paints and finishes are available, they don't have the same "benefits" as their solvent-based equivalents.

After being exposed to solvent based contact cement for many years, I don't smell it, and I don't get a buzz.
Or maybe I have a permanent one and don't realize it. :wacky

Woh... Look at the colors... :?

Ha! Reminds me of an old song. God Bless Little Feat for this one...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4y4asj3sjM

Lyrics

Off our rockers, actin' crazy
With the right medication we won't be lazy
Doin' the old folks boogie
Down on the farm
Wheelchairs, they was locked arm in arm
Paired off pacemakers with matchin' alarms
Gives us jus' one more chance
To spin one more yarn
And you know that you're over the hill
When your mind makes a promise that your body can't fill
Doin' the old folks boogie
And boogie we will
'Cause to us the thought's as good as a thrill
Back at the home,
No time is your own,
Facillities there, they're all out on loan
The bank forclose, and your bankruptcy shows
And your credit creeps to an all-time low
So you know, that you're over the hill
When your mind makes a promise that your body can't fill
Try and get a rise from an atrophied muscle,
And the nerves in your thigh just quivers and fizzles
So you know, that you're over the hill
When your mind makes a promise that your body can't fill

...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=32&v=Rwn0R1PFUwU

The old rocker wore his hair too long
Wore his trouser cuffs too tight
Unfashionable to the end
Drank his ale too light
Death's head belt buckle, yesterday's dreams
The transport caf', prophet of doom
Ringing no change in his double-sewn seams
In his post-war-babe gloom
Now he's too old to rock and roll
But he's too young to die
Yes he's too old to rock and roll
But he's too young to die
He once owned a Harley Davidson
And a Triumph Bonneville
Counted his friends in burned-out spark plugs
Prays that he always will
But he's the last of the blue blood's greaser boys
And all his mates are doing time
Married with three kids up by the ring road
Sold their souls straight down the line
And some of them own little sports cars
And meet at the tennis club do's
For drinks on a Sunday, work on Monday
They've thrown away their blue suede shoes
Now they're too old to rock and roll
And they're too young to die
Yes they're too old to rock and roll
And they're too young to die
So the old rocker gets out his bike
To make a ton before he takes his leave
Up on the A1 by Scotch Corner
Just like it used to be
And as he flies, tears in his eyes
His wind-whipped words echo the final take
And he hits the trunk road doing around a hundred and twenty
With no room left to brake
And he was too old to rock and roll
And he was too young to die
No he was too old to rock and roll
And he was too young to die
No, you're never too old to rock and roll
If you're too young to die
And no you're never too old to rock and roll
But he was too young to die

"Shut up, Donnie."
The Big L is on netflix now. Might have to watch it for the 6th or 7th time. ;)

Anyhow... Two weeks of camper time turned into regular work-work.
I'm in a sweet situation... Make my own hours... The total opposite of being micromanaged.
I've got a big project to get out. They need it, and I need the money.
I took Christmas eve and Christmas day off. Tomorrow starts a normal work week.
I choose to pretty much ignore New Years. After Christmas, I've usually had enough, and am ready to return to normal life.
But, I'll probably empty a magazine into a tree stump at midnight.
Y'all have a good one.

Update:
Taking a short break on the camper to focus on a project at work.
Once I'm over that hump, I'll be back at it.

It was late coming this year, but we're in typical south Florida winter mode now.
Mid-40s by morning.
Enclosed the back porch and installed this several years ago, and am thoroughly enjoying it right now.
...I'm such a wuss. ...

*Bump*
Don't give up on me, guys. In the words of John Lennon, Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans.
It's been an eventful couple of months, including the recent unexpected death of a sibling, and a yet to be resolved, (hopefully, minor) health scare of my own.
Besides all that, I swore that before the heat sets in again, I'd finish cleaning up from the hurricane we had a year and a half ago. One more day ought to do it.
Yeah... The house needs painting, but I need to go camping worse.
I'll be back on the camper soon enough.

Cheers, Y'all.

Jeez! Has it been a month! :?
"Normal" isn't the right word, but life has settled back down for now.

I'm about finished building my cabinet doors. They still need to be sanded and finished.

Image

I can't mount the drawer fronts until I have drawer boxes to mount them to...
They're next.

Image

It's starting to take on the "barn look" that I was shooting for.
I'm glad that ugly, plastic AC shroud is finally covered up. 8)

Image

Still need to make the woven cane door for my electrical cabinet, and the big slider for the bathroom.
I started on them this morning.
Also, a shelf above each window.
Then on to the bunks and trim.

Finally, back at it.
Never said I was fast, but stalled out is not good.
