On the undeside of the flip down door or lid, what's the function of the small short pieces?

I can understand how the long pieces ad support. But my mind is not registering how the small pieces would do the same. Or what their function is.

But I'm sure you have a reason, and was curious.

My thinking was it just adding more stability to the structure, kind of like stringers connecting ribs in a boat or aircraft.

If you added thin plywood to the bottom of the door, also, it would form a "stressed skin" and really stiffen up, with all of those short pieces in there to keep the two skins apart.

I love the floor! In fact I want mine to look like that.
So, I have a stupid question.
Are those linoleum squares or snap together foor tiles?
My trailer is not as wide as your's and I'm 6'2" so no crossways bedding for me, but I too want to haul my bikes in my 16 foot cargp trailer. I'll be starting on mine after I get back from my Conitnental Divide Ride this summer on my KLR.

The wife wants it to be a Hilton Inn and I want a Racing Trailer.
But, since she won't be coming with me much, I'll do it my way and put a carpet roll on the floor when she comes with us.

Looking forward to more updates.

FYI the floor is 1 piece linoleum

Got some more work done

Carpet in the bunk sides. outlets in each bunk, 12v lights in each bunk, some more support brackets up around the lower bunk.

Only thing I got done this weekend was make a new kegorator. Our old one held 2 5 gallon kegs but it was really too much beer for us to drink plus it leaked really bad. So here be the new one a single 5 gallon keg easy cheesy
