Jeff:
Thanks for the compliments.
I have bought almost every part for both my trailers on E-Bay. I'll do research for parts on the internet, check opinions and feed back from other buyers and then almost always find it for less on E-Bay, sometimes free shipping and no sales tax.
My power converter the vented battery box and the water tanks were all from E-Bay. The Battery box came with all the vent pipe.
The water tank actually arrived with a crack on the fill pipe, I called the company and they sent me another right away with no additional shipping. Then they said I could just keep the damaged one. I did an epoxy glue job on the crack and now I have a fresh water and a drain water tank.

Check E-bay under RV Parts and Accessories, there are 100's of parts both new and used.

Today my new AC/DC TV with the built in DVD player was delivered. Yesterday the wall mounting bracket came, so tonight I decided to mount it in the trailer.
I love Daylight Savings Time with the extra hour of daylight in the evenings and the unseasonably warm weather we are having here in Minnesota, I'm able to do some work after I get home from work.

Here are some photos of the new TV and the mounting bracket before and after I mounted it to the side of my refrigerator cabinet in the trailer.

I think you guys can get the idea. I don't have a roof antenna yet, so I had to test it with a DVD.

Hey Guys,
Another quick project tonight.
My wife bought me this hitch ball lock, but it just didn't fit correctly, at least not to my liking, my hitch was just 1/4 inch too wide for it to sit flat.
I knew it was just a matter of grinding away about a 1/8 inch half circle on each side so the locking bar will fit completely flat and the lock will be more secure.

Before and after photos...

I think the lock is much sturdier with the yellow ball part all the way inside the coupling.

Now all you need to do is get those chains locked into the setup, otherwise some mongrel will bolt the ends together, throw 'em over a tow ball and cart ya van away into the night....................

I guess I've never thought of that, but have heard others talk about using the safety chains to tow a trailer off into the darkness.
I do have one thing to easily combat that, my safety chains have hooks on both ends. So I can simply remove them and store them inside.
Thanks for the tip.

Today I finished installing the wainscoting in the bathroom.
Here are a few shots of the before and after....

Here is another quick project I made up today.
Remember, in these trailer conversions, you need to be able to use every empty space for some type of storage.
Well...today I was working inside my front storage door, or behind my kitchen counter top in the 3' V nose on my trailer, I looked up and saw this huge empty plywood wall. It's supper strong this entire wall which is the back-side of my bathroom closet, (the one with the pipe-fitting cloths bar) I thought I could use the space for some type of hook rack for some tools, Bar B-Q tools, extension cord etc. The stuff will be stored up there anyway, so why not hang it up rather than have it lay on the floor.

I still had a piece of peg-board left over from my little bar set-up I have in the cabinet above my microwave. So I screwed it to this wall for some tool storage...
Check it out.

I spaced the peg-board away from the wall with some 1/2 inch square strips I had laying around.
tomorrow I''ll fill it up with some gadgets.

GM - If you ever had to make a panic /emergency stop would your 2 water tanks go sliding forward breaking your plumbing connections and leaking all over? I think that we are both on the TW 200 forum, mine is a 2007. Capt D.

CaptD

No worries on the water tanks sliding around while driving.
Check out these pics, there is a 5/16 threaded rod holding the tanks in place. There are wooden cleats on each side plus in between the two tanks.
The rod goes through a wooden plate that holds down on the tanks.

Here is a quick shot of the new peg board with some tools mounted.

I have to get some locking peg board clips, I bet these little cheap ones will bounce out while going down the road...

Yep, grab a handful of the 3 legged hooks and you'll be able to triple the capacity of that handy little corner.
Econimical use of space is what it's all about :)

I know you won't but I for one will hate the day you finish your trailer I have taken many ideas from you to use if and when I every get a trailer.

When I first saw your trailer with the front storage door I wondered what it would be used for, well now I know.

It and another builders side door high up on the road side which opens up and allows her airconditioner to slide out are two ideas I really like

keep building and I'll keep stealing......huh I mean I'll keep borrowing from you.

Lance:
At first I didn't understand what you were getting at in your comment ? But then I figured out that If I use the stronger 3 peg hooks, like maybe 3-4 inch I could double or triple my storage capacity.
The hooks I have now, were just some cheapo-ones that I had laying around. The heaviest thing on that rack are the trailer safety chains, and they will be on the front when I heading down the road.

Great work as always on your trailer! If I ever decide to go to a bigger trailer, your designs will certainly give me a lot ideas to think about.
