Sadly no. The stuff I used I found at a closeout store and it was 1/2 inch wide by 1/4 inch tall random fibers. It was peel and stick. I bought all they had and when I finished the wall and ceiling studs I had less than a foot left! Eeeou!

I just looked on Amazon for it. No luck.

P.S. Just use a can of spray foam for the easiest and cleanest application in the U between the flat legs of the studs.

Things have been good. Thanks for hoping/asking. My kids have all landed great careers. I spent most of last month in southern Mexico, where the dollar now equals 19 pesos, a third more than in previous years, so the bang for the buck was awesome. (Due to the fear of suddenly losing all NAFTA exports to the US of jeans, beer, fruit and produce.)

I went to Olmec and Mayan museums in Chiapas, Tabasco and Veracruz, caught some great Jarocho music in Veracruz city every night in the square. Froze in Mexico city for three hours in the bus station one night so I booked it straight back to Zihuatanejo for the heat, the seafood and the beach. (Best fishing village disguised as a city in all of Mexico! And full of Canadians.) Came home to Oregon and racking leaves, teaching Spanish, teaching oil painting (adult classes) and playing geetar. Trailer is my art studio when away from the classroom. Retirement is a bitch. Not suicidal. <--Mexican beer, while it lasts!

It's been more than 30 yrs since I've been to "Old Mexico". I was living in Tijeras, New Mexico at the time. Spent a month or so in Chihuahua. Really nice folks. We were doing some volunteer work as part of an exchange program. Chihuahua is the "Sister City" to Albuquerque, NM. I think the dollar was 12 Peso or so then. I remember I went into a bakery and got some donuts and Cokes, and it came to about 400 peso. I tipped the senorita 100 pesos and she started crying and called me an Angel. So I sent the whole crew in there and they bought the place out. That night, her and her familia came to the work site and cooked us dinner. It was a beautiful time.
We took the bus Mexico City one time. That was one of the craziest things I've ever done. There was like 100 people packed in there, with dogs, and goats and chickens. The driver thought he was Mario Andretti and had it wound up to 150 kph. while he watched Mexican Pro Wrestling and ate his lunch. La Vida Loca!

LOL! Good story.

All the buses in Mexico these days that travel more than locally are first class, Europe-made buses. Frankly, the seats are softer and have more leg room than flying coach on any airline. I got 7 1/2 hours sleep one night on one bus almost fully reclined, and you need a coat because the AC is set about 60 degrees on every bus.
