Tried out my Modular Portable Antenna System (MPAS 2.0) made by a company who makes them for the Military. It covers all the Amateur HF bands, takes only 15 minutes to set up, weights a few pounds and breaks down into a backpack. The vertical sections break down with a shock cord like a tent pole. My first contact was with an operator in Maine. Not bad from Florida setting in my CTC with only 100 watts. Will be taking this on the road with me so I can enjoy the hobby when really remote. I designed and tried out a few antennas on the CTC, but scrapping them for this. None of them are as easy to set up or cover all the bands as efficiently.

I'd say about 90%. She still has an accident here and there, but generally asks to go out. I have a bell on back door and she already knows how ring it... or she just barks. The accidents are usually like a toddler's would be. They get busy and do not think of it until its too late. I'd swear a few of them were spiteful, however, as I was telling her "NO" so many times (she just gets mischievous).

I think another week or two and her bladder will mature more and she will have better control. She has control of the #2 and we have had none of that for week or so.

I grew up with German Shepherds. Watching what the ears do as they grow is always entertaining.
Serious dog person here. My wife and I started out with a wolf/malamute mix, then we had a series of retired racing greyhounds before settling on Beagles.
I decided we needed a small, agile, boat dog and a beagle seemed to fit the bill. I fell in love with the breed and we've had three so far.
Two or more is always better, but were down to one for now. Soggy Bottom Sadie was the first. She will be 15 in September.
A new puppy would be too hard on her at her age, but there will be others when the time comes. I'm in no hurry to loose my good old girl.
Future pups, like Lexus, will be camper dogs.

Thanks Karebru! Dogs are the best. I am partial to GSDs as I have had them since I was a kid. Great companions and will give thier life for you. Extremely loyal and smart and can intimidate and be a deterent when needed.

I love beagles too! Family had one growing up and my daughter had one recently (Buddy) until he passed away. If I were to ever go with a smaller dog, Beagle would be it. They are so much fun and I love thier howl.

Yes.. I got Lexus from a reputable breeder. She's from the working line. Daddy was a big boy.... a muscular build with brindle sable color (I think that is how you'd describe his color). He looked to be all business. Momma was the typical saddle back with medium length hair. Both fine looking animals. Lexus has a great temperament and already is displaying all the attributes of a good family dog, loyal companion and great traveler. She is very popular with the folks at Home Depot. I take her there a few times a week to walk her just for the distractions.... she is about 50/50 and getting better on focusing on me and not the environment at just 10 weeks old. This will be very important on the road. I got until July 27 to get her ready then we will be in the CTC on the road until mid October. Training will continue on the road

My understanding is that a well trained dog is a happy dog. Sounds like Lexus will be a very happy dog. It will be fun to follow you and your dog “build”.

Just picked up my unistrut for my adjustable bed

Did you run hardware to the outside of your trailer to attach to the walls or countersink into a wall stud?

For the vertical roller guides I mean

I countersunk screws into unistrut so they were flush inside. Unistrut was screwed into wall studs. That is how I did mine anyhow. I found a pic of the countersink. I later cleaned them well and painted with white spray paint before I installed on the walls.


You only need about 4 or so per unistrut as the strength is in the vertical sheer, an not so much to pull off the wall. The screws were self tapping metal screws.







These are the L-Brackets I installed on the trolleys to build the bed on. Note, when I actually put all the pulleys on and winch motor, I took off the trolley wheels because they will bind if not perfectly even going up or down. I am using the trolley mounts into the struts now as guides and also to rest on the pins I used to hold the bed in various height positions.

I am going to weld a metal bed frame see if I can build in some storage like you did. Still unsure if I’ll motorize it.
