Converting Cargo Trailers into TTTs

I give up. I took the tire and wheel off, today and see that I cannot do what I want to do unless I do remove the axle. And I just decided not to do that. So I will work on warmer winter days and will look at getting a big heater. It looks like the best overall alternative. Now on to my next issue.

I am starting to accumulate various parts for my project. I have been dormant for quite away for back issues again and the cold damp weather just keeps me inside. But I cannot stand it, so regardless, I am going to brave the weather (not today - too damp and wet).

I found these shallow AC boxes at Lowes the other day. I will use them for 12V wiring where possible.
The small lamps will be added to the exterior for clearance/ID lights all around the CT. Not that I will need them, but I just think they will look good.

Thanks to Jerry's (OTTCT) project, I discovered GenuineDealz and had these battery cables custom made up for me. More expensive then doing it myself - yes, but this way I do not need to buy any tool to crimp the connectors.
GenuineDealz was extremely refreshing to work with. They worked with me over many email and one phone call to make sure I got what I wanted. And to this novice in this area, to me the cables and crimping look very well done. I ordered 4 GA Marine Wire for these cables.
These will provide all the connection I need to mate 4 T105's in a separate box to the electrical "heart" for the trailer.

I have also accumulated many other components for my work, including the marine 14 and 12 GA stranded wire.

This lousy weather is keeping me inside. While extremely mild compared to many other states, it is a pain to me.

A small electric heater should make your ct a comfortable temp to work in. Just turn it on a little bit before you go to work on it.

lrrowe, Howdy;

Bob, looks like you're about set for a fun weekend. A question,
why are 2 of the wire ends left un-terminaled?

That was a test Hank and you passed.
They are to be connected directly to the board in a PD4045.

Yes the combo does work well. I am now adding to this whole project cost the price of LineX liner and an A.R.E cap.
I need to go back and get a full time job.

Ready for the very nerve racking task of cutting through my side skin. This window in real life turned out much larger then I expected. I have measured and remeasured.
After seeing this size and placement issues for me, I am wondering if I need one on the driver's side at all. For other CT'rs, how many left one side windowless and do you have any regrets?

Maybe it is just me, but I like being able to see out of both sides of my ct. It is also nice for cross ventilation. I like the light too.

My windows are smaller. I wish that they were bigger, but then you lose wall space. Is the wall space the issue? If not, I would put both in. That first window is very nerve wracking, when you get one done, I bet doing the other won't be a big issue.

Good luck! You are moving along great!

I'm looking forward to your build. I will be doing a build starting in March.

I'll be getting a 7x12 Single Axle, with electric brakes, 6'6" interior, ramp door. I'll be converting it to a toy hauler.

We seem to have a lot of similar features, the PD4045 converter, some 12v lighting, some cutting for a window, etc. I'll be learning as I go (you can only research so much beforehand), so make sure to take lots of pics!

Cindy, thanks for your input. I am one who claims to suffer from SLD (or whatever you call it for Sunlight Deficiency) and like lots of light. So I am concerned about not adding the second one. I will wait til the last possible minute and then order/install one if I am inclined then to do so.

Rocky5000100, thanks and I will take and post lots of photos. And I do suffer from too much research.

Window, a large one, one curb side only. I do have a second smaller window with the potential opening framed. But so far we like it the way it is.
