cdud, Howdy;

Glad to hear that you had a good experience with your build. From what you say about battery life
your use of LED lights really helped cut the usage down. Thanks for the pix.

The stereo with a small amp is most likely what drained it the most. I like sound with a bit more depth and the system without an amp just doesnt quite sound as good. I may have to sacrifice though if we want to last longer.

Sounds familiar. Its the the one reason I decided not to wire the amp in. I've got the wires in place in case I change my mind but for now I'll keep it on the shelf.

Started the weekend with a different hobby of making Hotdogs and smokies.
Now finally starting on the ramp and getting it insulated. I wish the manufactures would at least prime the steel prior to assembly, wellit adds about an hr and some drying time.

Started on the Bed finally. It will hopefully be an L shaped expanding couch to queen size bed. All pushed in it will just leave enough room for the atv. Plans are to have it lift up so more added storage, The fixed section is what is seen now and eventually 2 slides will be added so we can make it am l couch dinette as well as the bed.

Finally ordered and installed the 45amp converter so i dont have to bring the charger with me as the panel i salvaged from the donor camper ended up not having the charge option. This is the panel that i ordered from Amazon as well.

Progress on the bed frame is getting there. I need to build the front frame that will slide out but that will also stay on the floor when the base is lifted. Also I want to add a hinged extension of 12 inches to get a full queen size. Thinking about hinging a 12inch piece of plywood and then having slide out supports from inside the bed frame ???

Interesting, waiting to see the whole unit to see how you complete it and how it functions.
What size are the horizontal slats? In one of the pix the almost look like 2"X4", but those wouldn't
flex enough to give some sort of comfort while sleeping. Are they 1"X4"s?

The slats are all 1x4 with 2x4 frame.

Thanks for confirming my thoughts. Had to ask as the pix didn't make it that clear.

Its been a while since i have been on. The beds are pretty much complete with 1 queen size and a single bed. Also tried making an awing and it looks lik it will work so i ordered the 1 inch fittings from tarps.com and will do the final build.
we are off for 2 weeks starting next week to give a run for its money.
i will have pictures of the setup shortly.

This was the test for a home made awning with 3/4 inch conduit. I now have it completed with proper fittings with 1 inch conduit.
