My Project a Cargo Trailer for back country camping

Converting Cargo Trailers into TTTs

I received the new trailer a few weeks ago. As I said, I ordered it with a white aluminum interior and all insulation installed. It also has shore power installed, along with a Fantastic remote control fan. I spent more for this trailer, but when I compared my cost of materials to do the windows, insulation, interior finish, shore power, and LED lights it was "close enough"to go ahead and have the factory do the installation. Total price was right at $4,000. The trailer is a "Road Force"so the exterior and most of the interior uses glue, rather than screws, and it was all trimmed out.

The first modification was a two inch lift. I bought the brackets for a spring-over and did the lift in a few hours of welding and grinding.

I put a solid vinyl flooring. Blue grey colored "nickle" pattern ordered from Garageflooring.com. I used Roberts floor glue and cut the floor to fit. The trailer came with OSB waterproof flooring and had trim strip all around the edges of the wall, so I just pulled the trim strips of, cut the vinyl to fit, glued the floor down, let it dry, then put the trim back on. I will put some pics on here of the trailer as soon as I get my member profile fixed. Hopefully soon!

Stay tuned!

meach4x4, Howdy;

Almost a turn-key CT. chuckle.

Nice, what kind/type/R-value insulation did they install in there?
What thoughts have you for additional wiring and how are ya gonna
run it?
Curious minds and all that,

Hi all!
I have to apologize to you all that I did not continue coverage of my new Cargo Trailer Conversion. A lot of deadlines kept me working on the trailer and not documenting the actual build. I have spent the last year trying to finish the conversion and camping in it a few times in the midst of the process. Without getting into the nitty gritty details here is a quick list of what I have accomplished, I hope to fill in the gaps and add photos and more details soon.

Quick list of build status since I posted the pics of the trailer when I picked it up from the dealer:
flipped the axle for a lift
installed 31"tires on custom wheels
Installed nickle pattern vinyl garage flooring
Built steel tube frame for the single bed, decked with .40 plywood for the bed with a hinged lid to access stove from interior.
28"x72" mattress
Put in HD sliders for the Engel refrigerator, coleman stove, and grub storage
Drapes for the two windows
front console frame with electrical for 12v battery, solar charger, and distribution setup.
stainless console cover with 10" wash bowl (not plumbed at this time
roof racks bolted through roof frame.
ARB 8'x8'awning with room tent mounted on roof racks
200 watt solar panel mounted on roof racks

I have camped in the trailer now about 15 nights. It works great.

Again, I apologize for the lack of pics. When I get caught up, I promise to post more pics.
