Newbie here and also a fellow Bosiean but I see no photos of your progress/build (unless I am really missing something). I'm interested in your conversion/build in that I am just starting a 6'X10' cargo trailer conversion myself.

Hope to hear and see more of your conversion as it progresses.

Hello Don
Thankyou for your response.Glad to know there is another builder nearby. On the page where i wrote about my build at the bottom it should say gallery right next to profile.Click there and my photos should pop right up.You will see my trailer is an open trailer that i am enclosing to make a cargo/camper trailer.
Let me know if you are able to find them.Have a great day!!!
Derrick

Nice job Camper.
I kicked around that same concept last year for my 16' rail trailer. Then a 17' Cargo Trailer fell into my lap.

Looks like you've done wood working before.

Gonna watch your build for sure.

Camper,

Thanks for the clarification. I found the photos. Wow! what a nice build! You, Sir, have talent! Me? I am a hacker working my way through a 6x10 cargo trailer conversion.

Best regards,
Don

Well i heve not had a lot of time lately to work on my conversion.I have however completed the plywood install on the exterior and interior. We installed the vinyl floor. We were going to put in sheet vinyl but decided to go the cheaper route with 12x12 tiles.Turned out great.I was able to find a nearly brandnew ac unit also for the trailer.I will post current pictures in a few days.

Camper,

Your conversion/build is looking great!

A question about your air conditioner install since I am considering installing a similar unit in my CT conversion: Do you plan to leave it hanging out the side and, if so, does it protrude past the width of your fenders? If not I suspect there should be no problem. I have 10" wide fenders on my CT and was hoping that whatever household window type AC unit I go with doesn't protrude beyond the fenders so that I am not likely to bash it against something if backing into a tight space (I am terrible at backing a trailer). My options are limited as to where I can install the AC unit in my CT, one side or the other seems the likely choice. Installing on the front of the trailer is out as that seems a perfect route for water to intrude should I be caught hauling it in a rain storm and the rear is out since that's where the main doors are, I don't want to mount it on a door as I need the rear doors operational to get my Harley in and out.

Again, your conversion/build is looking great!

Derrick,

Wow! Your build is really coming along. It looks great!

What kind of vinyl did you use for the roof? Post a pic of it when you get the chance.
