Window Installation Question

Postby SmilinJack » Sat Aug 21, 2010 6:50 am

I'm getting ready to install a window in my cargo conversion. I bought the window from Frank Bear. The window has a rubber seal around the outside lip that will be pulled against the exterior metal of the trailer when the window is installed. My question is should I add silicone or butyl tape to the rubber seal, or will it seal adequately without it?

I have been putting in auto glass for over 20 years and you should not need to add any other sealant. The inside rings pulls it together very tight and will seal just fine.
