thinking about making a trailer mine

Converting Cargo Trailers into TTTs

I would think if you are going to put boat inside the trailer a ramp would be what you need. that or some form of ramps to load the boat.

I have seen small AC units mounted next to the wheel well with a door that opens and the AC slides out so it can be used.

good luck and let us know what you come up with

For $99 window A/C units, we've had different layouts. Some have cut rectangular holes in the sidewalls or the front wall, built false walls at the back (from the top down, assuming your boat/trailer will fit under it when its time to deploy).

I mounted mine in the side door way on bolts so I can unbolt and remove it when not using it. I had to build a door to fill in the gap between bottom of A/C and floor. And of course you can't close the outside side door when using it.

Of course you could mount a traditional RV A/C unit on the roof. And Bob Henry mounted his outside/underneath and build ducting to channel the cold-air up and into his trailer. Good luck!

Gary,

I miss seeing sheep #29. Why #2 now?
