American Hauler
7x12x7-V-nose All Aluminum.
About 1550LBS. single axle with brakes.
It will be a slow build, I have very limited income. It will be a cycle, kayak, camper, yet still be usable for cargo hauling. It was purchased for my use, its not quite what I wanted but its what I can use. I want/need shower, toilet bed that raises to ceiling. I have torn down around 25 trailers and not much was reuses able. I'm getting a pick-up camper to dispose of and hope to be able to use some of it. I've started the insulation walls and ceiling are already done, under floor is next. I'm waiting for my friend to drop more off.
I cant seem to post pictures, from my lap top, but I have this on cell.

Good looking trailer. You should be able to make that work out fine.

Padilen, well you did fine getting this picture up. Nice trailer. I like the two tone and considered that myself, but needed to keep the cost down.
Read as many of the older posts in the forum. In all the categories, there is a ton of info. It is great to use the ideas of others and then share your own.

The you tube that someone else posted is just about what I planned on. I had thought about Happyjac until I saw the prices. Deleted video, of other trailer.
E track or unistrut will have to do. My mom thought a Winnebago style bed, but I see where they're getting them from scrap yards.
The trailer is my moms, she bought it for my use. But any additions are my expense. I need spare tire and brake controller before I can spend money on interior.
I'm hoping pick-up camper bathroom and tanks are good. I will also get a portable tank. I believe the pickup camper black water tank sits under shower/toilet combo. So portable will be grey if needed and "overflow".
Adding the you tube link, as an attempt to remove the pic of someone else's build.

I got the rest of my insulation yesterday.
Today I managed to get the plywood off the ramp door. By carefully drilling and chiseling wood away. The bolt holding the cable was hindering limiting wood. I hope to get started on cutting the instillation tomorrow.
Warning to those that don't know. The springs on the ramp door are set to lift the weight of door with the wood on it so be careful. I managed by myself but would recommend 2 people.
This is what I've done as I get money for TAZ.

Worked on insulation of the ramp. 2 sections left where the latches go. I don't like the factories system of supporting them.
I didn't insulate a small section of side panels. I didn't want to remove door opening trim. But it's been bothering me. So I used a hair dryer and heated up the glue. It did bend but I got them off. I'm going to do something with the wiring before I insulate.
1 piece of foam for my seat cushion/ extra bed came today.

Flipped over ramp plywood and coated back side with a waterproofing.

This is how I eased plywood removal on ramp-without removing cables.
Found this under trailer- bare wire.

So I've been working on my sewing machine. Guess I needed more than thread. Because my fabric pieces are large Im having a hard time keeping them straight. After making nice progress my sewing machine stopped sewing correctly. So I pinned the one side of zipper. I need to figure out ends but that's for another day.

The money I've been trying to save for a spare tire went for a mattress. My neighbor that's going to help with my bed design will need it for measurements.

The neighbor(season/part time) that's going to design my lift bed took measurements and will get me a build list and print but I'm hoping he'll do more- his close friend is a welder of specialty metals. Id like it in aluminum so maybe ....

I got a used single sink. I removed a toilet shower combo from a pick-up camper and the furnace and hot water heater. I couldn't fit toilet shower in my Jeep so I'll have to pick it up later.

Ordered a water tank, the one from pick-up camper was broke where fittings connect. The one from TAZ had holes.. Also ordered a faucet for sink.
I'm rethinking using any of my scrapped parts. Not worth having a failure in my CT.
I'm disappointed, a lot of work for nothing!

Padilen, Howdy;

Perhaps a momentary disappointment ... yet may prove to be an invaluable
experience for the future.
