Yes, I think the window cut outs look very professional.

Nice job!! Where did you find those windows at? I am planning on adding a few to mine as well.

Thank you. I am looking forward to actually having it in usable condition... but still so much more I want to do after that!

Thank you very much. It was so nerve wrecking cutting into it for the first (and 4th) time!

The windows came from Vintage Technologies http://teardroptrailerparts.com/. They sell from their website, Ebay & Amazon, each with prices varying a little bit. Excellent customer service and lightning fast shipping. All thicknesses of interior trim rings available. I'm going to be ordering 1 more for the street side of the trailer, that will be installed opposite of the RV door. I went with this size so they would fit between two uprights.

It's been so long since I have done anything to my trailer. It's just kind of been sitting. (That's what happens when you buy 2 Jeeps to fix up at the same time).

Well, now I find myself needing to use it in a matter of a few days. Today I got the platform built for a (temporary) air mattress and added a wall mounted convection heater. Heated the thing up from 28 degrees to too hot in a very short time. Ready to put it through a rude camping test (place to sleep is all it will be). But am looking to needing it good to go with some electrical by the end up march. Planning on a single solar panel, single battery and some LED lights for now that can sleep 3 soon.

Got to use the trailer for the first time this weekend. Spent 3 nights in it and slept great. Mattress is a memory foam queen size/sleeper sofa mattress off of Amazon. Loved it! Much better than an air mattress. Can't wait for the next trip.

Finally made some real progress and getting ready for first real trip. Headed to Padre Island National Seashore for several days....

First, I installed a 100w Renogy Monocrystalline solar panel on the roof.

Image

Solar panel going through a 40A Renogy MPPT Charge Controller, connected on the load out to a 12 circuit fuse panel with built in ground bus.

Image

Right now, I only have 5 3w LED Lights running through the fuse panel, but plans to expand down the road. Running 2 Interior LED Lights

Image

& 2 Exterior LED "Porch" lights

Image

Battery is a used car battery I had laying around to get me through until I can get better batteries (and more electrical needs), mounted in a battery box on the tongue.

Image

Got the loft bed cut down to the correct size... giving me an additional foot inside which seems like a whole new world.

Image

Drop hitch installed on my Jeep... getting things packed up to go. Very excited for my first real camping trip. Hoping this is the first of many this year.

Nice work done so quickly. And nice Jeep too. How much can it tow? We were wishing we could pull with a 4-door Wrangler but I think our 6x14V is just a bit too big to be comfortable in the Colorado mountains. Sad.

Thanks tornado... The Jeep is only rated at 2000pounds. If you got the maximum tow package (4 door only) it goes to 3500. I desperately need to to regear after the lift and will be doing so soon. Going with 4.88 gears which would allow it to easily tow the 3500 but sadly mine is still only rated for 2000.

Just completed first trip... roughly 2000 miles round trip (Kansas City to Padre Island National Seashore), 5 nights... everything went pretty smooth. Definitely noticed a few things I want to add or change but very happy with the first trip out.
