Very good point. Not sure if it would hurt anything for a short rescue... hopefully never need to resort to that.

flboy, Howdy;

... besides, having a front hitch means you can have a place to hang a winch

Got everything I needed to do in Massachusetts done. Had a great visit with wife's family and sent her home today from New Hampshire. Will pick her back up in Hartford , Connecticut next week as we head south for home. In the meanwhile, I am heading back to the woods in Vermont for 4 days (Green Mountain National Forest). Lex and I are up for some boondocking and hiking amid some cool temperatures. This Covid-19 stuff is crazy... Will need to produce COVID-19 test results and proof of quarantine to camp in Mass. and some other places in New England area because I am from Florida! You kidding me! Where else can you social distance more than in the woods! Vermont is much more sane. Just have to sign some papers saying I have not been exposed or have symptoms.... think about that for a few minutes in any case!

Will post some pics of the location. Hope to have some down time where I can edit and post the Sturgis video from August.

CTC is awesome! Really putting it through the paces.

Yea, lookin' forward to the Sturgis video,
Also, you probably already know ya might want ta keep bein' there
to yerself as alot of folks might get all big eyed and take a step or 2 away
when they hear it. Folks get really stoopid at times.
Give Miss Lexi a scratch behind the ears from us.

Made it to a real quiet place in the Green Mountains (Vermont). Beautiful lake and changing leaves. Nice and relaxing.

Some pics to share.

Beautiful lake. Lex likes even the cold water, but doesn't mind warming up by the fire either!

Thanks Hank!

Sun was out a bit and solar wasn't putting out like I thought it should. Never thought about the leaves piling up. Don't really have this problem in Florida.. lol

Had to share.. Lex was striking her Rin Tin Tin pose. She always runs ahead of me on the trail than stops to wait for the old man.

I am packing up today and heading South. Getting cold up here. Picking my wife up in Hartford on the way. We will take our time and be home in Florida in about 7 days.

Will head out West in January. I want to spend some time in the desert of Arizona , Nevada and New Mexico before it gets too hot. Going to stay put for the Holidays and camp in Florida at ONF and ride the dirtbike as I would usually do.

CTC is holding up well. No issues this journey. Thoroughly enjoying it. If I were to spend more time in the cold ( a relative term I know), I'd need to figure out a good spot to install a diesel heater or maybe a small wood pellet burner.. Maybe for next season.

Don, how are you securing the Kingpin/690? I didn't see straps and am considering probe for the dirt bikes. BTW, mount your GoPro on right mirror so you can see trailer to reference the side you can't see (when tying is mounted to front of truck). You can do VERY DIFFERENT maneuvers (like spin in place), just remember to consider tail end swing out as you round corners. Use the truckers tip GOAL Get Out And Look.

Clint , this link should take you backwards in this thread to where I posted some info on my mounts. For some reason the reply shows the last picture I posted, but just click it. It should go back. It is s a link.

Glad you are having a great time. We spent Jun till 14 Oct out of Florida. We spent July, Aug, first week of Sept in the UP of Michigan and northern Wisconsin. By not watching the news you don't hear the rules. For 3 weeks in September we were in the Adirondack Mountains of New York and when leaving found out we were supposed to quarantine when we arrived. Oh well no harm done we didn't get or spread anything. We have a much more relaxed life not watching the news. We arrived back in Florida 14 Oct. Staying in north Florida until 1 Nov then heading home to Frostproof to vote. Have a safe trip home. Thanks for posting your travels. I have been to lazy this summer to post.

Richard, good to hear from you. Glad you had good travels. I was in NY about the same time period, but I just ignored the request for quarantine and etc.. Every state in New England area does the same.. but they cannot seal thier borders and are not checking in any other way unless you try to check into a State park, but then you just have to say you have quarantined and not been exposed. Easy enough to say. It is just the poor folks coming through airports. I had to pick my wife up in New Hampshire and drive back to Massachusetts to avoid COVID tests, quarantine and etc..

In any case, I will be home tomorrow in Florida. Going to ride out the election roller coaster in Florida and take it from there. Plan to head to Quartzsite Arizona area after the New Year. I want to get the the UP of Michigan next summer. I have never been there are hear great things. Lots of camping opportunities along the Great Lake coastline. I just ran out of time this trip. to get there. Take care.

Safely back in driveway after almost 3 months and 25 states. Was a great adventure. Already planning next adventure in the CTC for Jan. 2021 to the desert southwest. Some mods to do first and some work around the house. Will be throwing in a few in state trips in the meantime.
