Converting Cargo Trailers into TTTs

I had a few people stopped by this week while camping to ask where I got my trailer at and I gave a few tours. One fellow took some pics for his friend. He was very interested in the floorplan and how I got the holding tanks in and etc.. That was very nice.

It happens at least once or twice wherever I camp. Not alot of home built campers around I suppose. There was one more cargo trailer here, but not really finished inside. Just an air mattress and etc..

About as many were interested in the motorcycle and how I fit it inside. I told them to come back Friday A.M. when I load it back up to head for South Carolina.

Did a little shopping with the wife today since it was raining most of the day. I did make a purchase. I was looking for a sign or something to personalize the camper... here's what I found at an old antique shop. I thought this was so cool when I was a kid in the 70s. It always made me want to chase the open road ( not sure about that dude on the back though).

This fits right over the door. :-)

Play your cards right and you might get to ride with the Capt. He's got a place up here near Livingston and his buddys all ride to Sturgis from there. He's good people.

as usual, the action stayed up in the snooty zone...

Made it to SC yesterday. A pic of the CTC in a Cracker Barrel restaurant where we stopped for lunch. We did a 185 mile loop today with my brothers and nephew. Will have some pics of that a little later.

Watching some Seinfeld before going to bed. Lights out with the camera flash on. The CTC in use.

Yes... is the short answer. Roughly correct. 5amps times 110vac is 550w. 550w divided by 12v is about 46A. It is about 10 to 1 for the conversion.

You'd need a large battery bank to run 50A all night. You trying to run a small AC?

Recommend a small gen if needed overnight. Too much solar infrastructure to run that all night.

Basic Ohms law on power. Power = volts * amps.
