End of a long day riding (only about 120 miles on the bike, but some real twisty corners for a Florida boy) and hiking to some water falls. Everything seems to be working great, the weather is nice. . It's all good.

flboy, Howdy;

Ok, son of Ra, how goes the solar array? Given all the filtered sunshine ya got are you
gaining enough juice to do the job or are you plugging in to supplement? Ya got a crowd
of folks here with their curiosities climbing.
Truly like the site ya got. looks like it's slightly elevated for good drainage should it rain on ya.

Thanks Padilen and Hank.

Hank, the solar array worked great boon docking. The next day about 10am when the sun was higher in the sky, we pulled off the highway for gas and I checked on the charge. I was pulling 31A and the batteries were almost recovered from the previous night. Where I am camping, I have power and water so I have the converter on. Too much shade in any case. I'd be supplementing with the gen if there wasn't power.

Speaking of power, maybe doesn't mean much to those not in the hobby, but I was able to talk to my friends in Palm Bay Florida on 80m (3.850 MHZ) SSB running with only 15W and a 84' end fed wire antenna tossed up in the trees this evening. That always amazes me. Six hundred or so miles away talking back to hometown on a small radio hooked up to 12vdc in the woods. It works! The pic is the radio and the purple lighting is the awning LEDs. :-)

These mountains are beautiful. Wife snapped a pic at a lookout.

Couldn't ask for better riding weather. Life's good. :-)

Our walk last night. We caught this view of the sun and sky reflecting off the lake.

Enjoying this camping, riding and relaxing thing. I could get use to it.

Thanks all. I am having a good time. Rain today. Tonight was green under the awning while cooking some ribeye. Just hanging out after a drive to Brass Town Bald. It is the highest point in Georgia and can see North Carolina and Tennessee from the observation deck at the summit.

Made a few PSK31 radio contacts before the bad weather set in.

That is the antenna wire running 84' up into the trees. It works.

The Kingpin parked by itself in the town center. Nice hills in the background.
