Thanks Padilen. Hope all is well.

I finished painting the front end of the living area last night and still have the garage area to do. However, after some use, I can see where my boots and etc. occasionally scuff the walls down low. Not a big problem and it was not too bad after 2 years, but I have some extra tread plate trim and I am thinking of finishing off the bottom 18 inches with tread plate. What do you think? Too much? I am kinda on the fence? I trimmed the dinette bench seats a while back with the tread plate for the same reason.

I think it's yours and you do it the way that pleases you.
It's a beautiful build. I wish I had the patience and funds to build something so beautiful.

My healing is slow. Today my restrictions are gone! Other than be sensible. But our weather has my . Going to be messy this weekend.
Have a great time be safe.

I did post a response to you on my thread.

It is a rainy afternoon and I do not feel like doing what I need to do, so I am going to do what I want to do.

I have been wanting to build the drop down clothes storage for underneath the loft bed. I have the raw materials. Let's see how it goes.

Hey Don,
I'm McLovin the new chopper. Gotta say the décor looks great. Don't let those ladies tell you any different. You got the designer eye, for sure..
I'm still amazed at how clean you are able to keep all the white. I say if the ATP helps with the boot marks and you got enough to spare, Gopher it! That stuff does come in handy for covering all kinds of mistakes and preventing fugly spots.
We are starting to break free of the polar vortex, +7f and sunshiney today so it won't be long till I'm out there working on mine.(Fingers crossed, :worship: )
Spring will get here eventually....

Got the hardest part done. Framed up and struts installed. I think the struts may be a little too stiff for the job. May have to get lighter ones.

I used some teflon spacers and epoxied them tightly into holes for the hinge bolts to ride in. I figured just wood would wear out and it would get loose after awhile.

The movement is nice and it snugs up and holds tight underneath the bed. I think I may install a spring loaded pin on both sides up front for travel. A good bump and the struts could release and drawer deploys. I will test it all out and adjust as needed.

Now to get the bottom cut and installed.

Already know who is claiming this clothes drawer when she's on board! She has already mentioned the cabinets over the dinette are a little to tall for her. :-)

I love that drop down clothes storage device, especially the way use used the struts!

Thanks guys. I just got it all painted and put back up. I think it looks good. Alot of very convenient storage. On the left is the portable solar panel and my gun safe is on the right up towards the front. I do not think I will build out the remainder of the right side. Maybe put in some netting so I can toss a few things in there.

Here is the drawer in the up position. Actually keeps me from hitting my head on way out as now my head cannot raise up into area and hit crossmember on way out. That is worth it in and of itself. I have bumped the head a few times as the garage area become the lounge area when the bikes come out.

This will work well with the dirt bike on the left or right side. I should be able to deploy without removing the bike. I can see where it will be a problem with the Kingpin on board.. I we'll see soon enough. If so, will have to be careful what we put in there if we will be roadside camping without removing the bike.

Here are a few pics with it deployed. It deploys easy enough. Just a pull down of about an inch or two and the gas struts take over. It is a little stiff to push up, I could have went a little lighter on the struts. If it doesn't loosen up some, I may just buy some lighter ones. Easy enough to snap in.

I moved the light back and kept it there as it now provides light to the drawer also when deployed. I left this area open for the light and to have access to the hinge bolts. Easy enough to get to them this way.

This is something I had in mind to do for a while. In fact, when I designed the bed, I could have just used one beam down the center and it would have been strong enough with the heavy decking I have, but I created the three spaces with two beams and made sure the middle section was 2ft wide and squared up well so I could make drop down storage as I did.

In any case, I spent about 5 hours on it today, but glad I did. I think it turned out well.

I also did a lot of finish painting this weekend. I still have the garage area and the wall by the dinette. My plan is to have that done before I pull out for bike week. Motivation to finish this thing up.

Nice work Mr. Smith.

Cold spell? I thought we were having a cold spell here with the lows in the 60's this morning. Almost had to go back inside for a light jacket. :-)

Winter is brutal in Montana and Michigan! That weather forecast is funny. The penguin says it all.

Looking forward to Bike Week. We are a bit spoiled here. Cannot complain about the weather this time of year. Maybe just when dodging hurricanes.

Will send some pics of Bike Week to warm you up! Take care both of you.
