A quick video of my trip Dec 20-23 to Big Bass @ Ocala NF, Florida. Very relaxing. It rained most of the time, but I was content to just hang out and get some computer work done and talk on my HAM radio. :D

All loaded up and headed to Shanty Pond Campground in ONF in the morning. Going to start 2020 out right and go camping. Never been to this place before so trying something different.

Happy New Year to all. Hope you have a blessed year!

Happy New Year, Don.
Glad your gettin' out there and having some fun and relaxation. You've earned it.
Just watched your latest video. Nice work putting that together. Ford looks like it was pullin pretty good, covered many miles in just minutes. ;)
Gotta say you are getting good at the video thing. Some folks might even say you have a face for radio. :D
See ya next year.

Nice video, Don -- looks like a nice campground and a great way to spend a few days!

At risk of sounding too Minnesotan.....do you ever worry that a gator will come up out of the wetland and into your campsite?

Have a great 2020, and keep sharing pics of that lovely Florida winter weather! :)

I had a great time camping in Shanty Pond. Three days of great riding and fun camping. The weather was outstanding Wednesday through Friday. Had an incoming front with lots of rain Saturday and I left just as it was arriving in Ocala NF. I got a lot of GoPro riding footage including the soil sample I took on the third day of riding (nothing Ibuprofen didn't take care of). I will be compiling a video to share.

I did not get a chance to dump my holding tanks (primarily Black Water) due to incoming storms... so I used the FlowJet I bought last year for the first time to drain the Blackwater at home by macerating and pumping the waste water through a garden hose under pressure to the septic tank clean out. I made a short video to review the FloJet. Bottom line.. I like it for the purpose I bought it.

flboy, Howdy;

Don, great video, however ... Using a White hose for the discharge :frightened:
Normally the practice is to use any other color then White. Could get it mixed-up
with the potable water supply hose at a future date.

Ok, I made a short video of my Jan 1, 2020 through Jan. 4, 2020 boondocking trip to Shanty Pond Recreation Area. Just showing the campground a bit. The ride starts at ~ 5:53 into the video... and the soil sample took was at the end. I hope you enjoy it. I had a great time!

Champion 2000. It is as quiet as my Honda. It runs well.

I have had the 3500W model for a while and I like it. Very quiet, electric start. I did a review on it a while back.
