Cut some 2X4s and drilled holes in the ends. Slathered on some water seal stuff.


Hooray! The gray water tank is in place.


The tank is an Ameri-Kart H136. But I think I have an old version. The ones on the website have slightly different dimensions.

Nice job on the tanks. Those gate valve mounts for the tanks look really solid! You've made a lot of progress.. Most of the hard stuff is done!

What kind of water seal stuff did you use on the 2x4's you used for supporting your grey water tank?

How deep do you think the stuff soaked in?

Assuming there are no future gashes in the wood that pierce the depth of the coating, will the wood be protected at a level comparable to treated lumber?

It was some old stuff I've had around here for 20 years. It is similar to Thompson's water seal. To be honest, I don't think I needed to put anything on the boards. But I had it so I did. If anything, a little on the ends might keep them from cracking. I actually looked at the treated boards when I picked these two up but they were made from the knottiest and worst lumber.

I installed some 2X6 blocks on each end to keep the tank from moving in any direction. not only are the 2X4s screwed to them,
they are also screwed to the floor from the top. In retrospect I would have made the 2X4s longer, moved the 1/2" bolts out so that
I could get a straight shot with the screws into the 2X6. Oh and I would have probably gone with 2X8s.


This plumbing stuff can be quite the puzzle. Especially when both ends are solid and immovable. After getting my angles
just right, I transferred the pipe runs up to the floor. From where they crossed I was able to get an accurate length measurement.


And the poop flume is in!!!

In an attempt to only cut one hole in my gray water tank, I made a baffle to create an airway in the same T fitting.


After making the brass baffle I decided I wanted the baffle to go all the way to the tank.
So I built an extension and pop riveted it on.


Baffle installed, looking down the airway side.


Bottom view. Put a little bend in the end hoping to divert the water from getting in the exhaust.


If you are wondering how this goes into the tank: The tank gets a big hole (2 1/4") cut into it and this grommet is "hopefully" inserted into the hole.
Then my T confabulation gets shoved into it.

Wow... what a cool idea! Wouldn't recommended that for the Blackwater... may have a log jam! Lol

Yep, I can see how the water inlet and vent may be able to "share" a hole, but the drain/outlet? And where does this sump come in? Grey just for shower, no sinks? Wouldn't a div. tee (sanitary) accomplish the same end? Are you just bored and showin' off...it's OK if ya are. You got skills, no doubt. I'll be interested how you get the drain in there, sans hole. ..

Since my shower is too low and my tank is too high the sump will blow the water into this device. For now, no sink planned. May have , I just thought this might be the best way to know for sure the air can get out of the tank. Since I am forcing the water into the tank, the air probably would have found its way out of a regular Tee.

With no sink, how do you accomplish the 3rd S in SS&S? Brushing teeth and etc. also ? I have an idea. Put a small flip down sink in the corner of shower and tap off the same water as shower and just have the sink drain into the shower pan.

Great minds must think alike! I have actually bought a small stainless bowl just for that purpose if I decide to install it. Also, a little fyi, the third s is for sleep, I kinda changed up the ol saying being that I have an electric razer and all. Haha

Doing a little messing around with the TNTTT gallery. As for the picture, you will have to guess for now. Completed project pics coming soon.
