That is an excellent guess, however, the battery box is probably the next project. This is most likely unguessable since it is something that has probably never been done before.

Cutting the end off of a brand new expensive 3/4" hose just seems wrong.


Got the mystery box mounted and the floorboard in the bottom. Also a couple holes cut in the front.


Well here it is! It's a box for my shower sump. These things need occasional maintenance and cleaning.
I did not want to put it under the trailer and have to either slide it out somehow or cut a hole in the floor
to access it.(Too fat and old for kneeling and working below floor level.)
The hose connection on the input is for hooking up to an external hose if I want to let the shower drain in the weeds.

Now I can see how your sump pump will work. I was confused before knowing it had to be below the floor. I like how you can now just disconnect the hose if you are in a remote location where shower water can run right out on the ground. I'd probably just put a diverter valve right in line so it was as easy as flipping the valve and forget about screwing a hose on and off. No sense in filling up the gray water tank if you don't need to.

Propane tank mount is built and gas line installed!!! Next is a trip to the powder coat shop.

Fresh water tank mounted!


My gray water interface confab has been installed. Small hose comes from the shower sump,
the longer hose is poked under the floor and is the air vent.
The PVC sticking up is there incase I decide to put a sink in someday.

Cobbled together a temporary electrical and water system and went on a 3 night boondock. I don't have batteries installed yet so I only had my generator to use for electricity. The shower sump worked wonderful, The led lights are perfect, loved the power center, the water pump had perfect pressure, the porcelain throne was very nice, the vent fan was a little noisy but very functional, but the thing I am the most excited about is my water heater! This thing is amazing! After poking around in the manual I realized you can set the water temp where ever you want it. A quick google search revealed that 105 deg is the average temp most people use. So I only ran the hot line to the mixer and set the temp and presto, perfect temperature shower every morning. I can't give a review about the dependability of this thing yet but as for the functionality I am blown away. Thoroughly satisfied! I used my 33 gal fresh water tank for showering only. The tank was not completely topped off and I took 3 relatively quick showers and I could have easily got one more and probably 2 more if the tank was topped off. The thing I am excited about, is if i'm on shore water I can shower as long as I want.

I think I got it for $350 delivered. I would offer less if I were to do it again.

Those on demand heaters are sweet. I have an economy model but it works great. If you have the shower wand with a on/off control, you can stretch the water supply pretty far. That's all I use the fresh tank for really. It sure is nice to have that kind of stuff when boondocking. Congrats on a successful first trip. It's coming along real nice.
