Crate sits on top of the PVC as to not crush Slinky.

That extended tongue is super nice. I still have to fabricate a mount for a propane tank on my trailer tongue. There’s hardly any room though

 , Extended you say ... that kinda looks like a standard length. Is your extension
on the tow vehicle end perhaps???

I believe he was referring to Haders extended tongue. I too agree, that extra space is really nice. Also, amazed how much stuff you are getting in that tool box. looks great.

Just took the Puppy on her 1st trip earlier this month.
5994 miles (round trip, 19 days), all the way to Nova Scotia. Canada.

The trailer size 14’x6’, coupled with the wonder of extended trailer tongue made the drive a breeze.
Image

12 MPG! (acceptable with a 17’ 8”, 1986 F350 @ 65 MPH)
Easy to mange in construction areas (PA, NY, 20 in Montreal, Quebec, and the 401 in Ontario) or small town streets & country roads (small Quebec and Nova Scotia towns, was like driving in old Paris, France.).
Were able to reach and park at restaurants, bakeries, cheese and chocolate shops, banks, small stores and marinas where a larger trailer would made it impossible.
Getting lost was no problem! Just turn around, no matter how tight space was. 2 of our favorite RV parks were at the edge of town-center (downtown).
The kitchen with the deep countertop (35”x30”) was all we needed.
Black & gray tanks vent, worked as expected.
Need to cancel the Toilet flush, and use a sprayer like the one Iconfabul8 have.
Bathroom ‘stink remover’ sounded like a train when inside the bathroom, but you can hardly hear it in the cabin or outside. http://www.seaflo.com/en-us/product/detail/662.html
Didn’t get a chance to use the AC! It was cool to cold to need it.
In a rain storm, we had some water leaking inside the door while driving. ??
The PVC awning was easy to set-up and stood up to 25 MPH wind while parked by the beach. I’ll need to make 1 change to make it even easier to set-up. It didn’t even need the middle leg support.
The CAT scale showed 2,200 LBS on the axles. Considering how inaccurate truck scales are, I’d estimate the axle weight at about 2,500 LBS maximum. Before we loaded the trailer with the fridge, clothes (daily change for 14 days), bedding and propane bottle, the tongue weight was 210 LBS (using a bathroom scale).
During cold nights, you can see the affect (condensation) of not having a panel/frame separation.
Twice, we dragged the end and jack entering parking lots. Twice, the power cord was damaged by the jack. Learned to enter and exit in an angle. I wish we had more ground clearance.
Storage box made storing Slinkys clean and easy. It also served as a secured trash can.
3 Gal electric water heater was not sufficient during cold nights.

Can't help on the back end drag but I had issues scraping my jack so I removed the 3 bolts holding it to the tongue, used 3 - 1/2" rigid pipe couplings as sleeve spacers. They're about 1-1/2" long so I got new bolts that were that much longer. Gave me 1-1/2" more clearance. It's helped a lot.

Hader, Howdy;

Have you thought about a side mount jack that swings up an out of the way?

You can also find the at a Tractor Supply or other places.

Good to be heard!  All was well and good. Just wanted to share how it went. I was keeping a watch on what you were doing! Glad that you got to take yours for a "a couple one nighters".
Good looking family you've got there.
I'll need to share our awning photos with you, and all! I think you'd like what we did. Let me find the pix.
