7x16 V-nose conversion - Tennessee

I have been following this site (and others) for years and have always wanted to do my own conversion. So, I'm not done with mine but I thought I would start a thread to show my ideas. One thing I have learned is that it takes a LOT longer to complete than one would think. Cost has been about right for what I thought it would be but I still have a lot more to go.

In the end, it is still an enclosed trailer. I have to be able to haul my ATV, firearm range props, and of course it must be ready to help people move! It must also be capable of being used as a camper without all the amenities of luxuries of a real camper - but still nice to stay in.

It has really been a good experience thus far and I would definitely build again!

Why did you replace the floor with Advantech instead of sealing/painting the plywood?

Only reason I asked is because my supplier talked us into using an OSB sub floor on a house build once, and we put a couple holes through it dropping rafters while framing.
We ended up skinning the Advantech with 1/2" CDX before it was all over. Went back to 3/4" T&G plywood after that.

I have used Advantech many times before with much success. They have a 50 year warranty and it can easily take a lot of water without swelling and buckling (which is important because of what I haul). Unfortunately, while it is extremely strong, it is heavy at 73 lbs/sheet but I am cutting 16" off each sheet.

I am also using part of the plywood to build the supports for my bed so it is not being wasted at all.

I ended up going with 1 3/4" and any additional room I need to take up by using whatever thickness of plywood may be needed (like Luan if only 1/8" is needed). I then will trim if out to make it look nice.

My trailer has 1x1.5" studs. This gives 1" thick walls plus the 3/8" plywood. For aesthetic purposes, I will cover the plywood with painted Luan making the wall 1.5" thick. So I will have a 1/4" gap to fill when complete.

Plumbing - city water inlet, fill line, water pump with accumulator and check valves. Also plumbed in an exterior pressurized 1/2" outlet (not pictured).
