"I put some duct tape around the window to keep it from falling out when I removed the retaining ring from the inside wall.Curb Window outside"

Outstanding work featherlite. I'm not sure I would have remembered that. Probably be spending the rest of the week trying to find a new window. I do have 20/20 hindsight however.
Well from the sounds of it I'm thinking you could take a 2-2.25" strip of aluminium or stainless or...maybe copper or brass for an interesting detail, That is equal to the inner circumference of the window and use that as a decorative bezel to cover the gap. There are lots of different types of trim available but you'll want something you bend without kinking or distorting too badly. Obviously it will need to be wide enough to get a screw in each side, unless you have some material in the middle of the "window sandwich" that a screw can bite into. That window looks to be chest level when standing inside so it will be fairly visible. This is a opportunity, or a problem, depending on how well you pull it off. Shoot for the opportunity, do something unique and classy. Here is a chance to show off your talents.
How about something unexpected that could be crafted to represent your taste, some special wood or leather with inlays or some such thing. I don't think it is a structural element, is it? Shoot us a pic when you get time.

Quick quiz question, for bonus points.
What is the formula for the circumference of a circle...Ring in if you know this one, Not you Don, or Mt. Don or Irrowe or hank or ottctc.

Circle circumference = Pi x D

Awning Vinyl Gutter 1 (480x640).jpg
The other day I read a post about using vinyl gutter material to protect an awning. At
http://www.tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=66084&p=1205642&hilit=gutter#p1205642

So I paid $4.00 for a 10 feet long piece of white vinyl gutter to cover my 16 feet long awning. I only bought one 10 feet length because I was not sure about the size and fit. I wanted something white rather than something black (like a piece of black corrugated drainage pipe) because I think the white will reduce the temperature.

Although the gutter does not cover the bottom side of the awning and will only work while the trailer is parked, I am happy with the fit. So, I will buy another 10 feet length of gutter to extend the full length of the awning.

I suspect that I will be able to cut the gutter into, say, 4 1/2 feet lengths, then install the pieces on the awning with a 6 inch overlap to cover the entire awning. Then I can store the 4 separate lengths nested into each other for ease of storage in the trailer.

featherliteCT1, Howdy;

You can also use the gutter as a support system for your waste tank drain hoses.
I keep mine supported and at a good angle using some broken concrete block
chunks. Save the bits that have the 90ยบ and a full length of a flat side. You can
slide the gutter the gutter up and down to get the amount of grade for good
drainage and alternate them for the 'friction' fit that will keep the gutter in
place.

Ramp Bug Screen (480x640).jpg
I was going to build a bug screen for my rear ramp door but the cost for raw materials was going to be about $75, and would have taken valuable time away from my other tasks. So I bought and installed this bug screen for about $130 from http://www.toyhaulerscreen.com/shop/. It has a tube sewn in at the bottom into which can be inserted a piece of PVC pipe or chain to weight and hold the bottom snug to the floor. I bought the one with zippers on both sides, without the third middle zipper. This is very well made and works great! I do not think any bugs will be able to get through, especially mosquitoes.

I have seen a clip used on a similar pvc awning cover that allows you to overlap the 4' pieces and this clip goes over the pvc and into the rolled up canvas , at the end facing the wind. This allows you to drive with the cover on. I'm not sure it would work with gutter material, but you can see the concept.

some Velcro and/or bungees might make it road worthy.

Curb Insulation 2 (480x640).jpg
Here you can see that, rather than installing long runs of furring, I have attached square pieces of fur onto which I will later affix 1/2 plywood. This way I minimize the total fur area which has an R value of only 1, and substitute 3/4 inch polyiso with an R value of approx. 4. The 3/4 inch foam fits snug between the fur blocks with a static fit ... no fasteners or glue needed. As you can see, not all of the 3/4 inch polyiso has been installed ... there are still a few more cavities to fill on this wall before I install the 1 inch polyiso over the top of the 3/4 inch polyiso..

Curb Insulation 3 (480x640).jpg
Although you cannot see in the photos, there were many nooks and crannies around the RV door and within the wall posts that I filled with 3/4 inch polyiso... all different dimensions and thicknesses... very tedious and time consuming to install. I will complete this first curb side wall as a prototype to make sure things fit together and work properly before I move on to the other walls. My plan is to affix interior fixtures and the like to the 1/2 plywood rather than to the fur, except for the e-track to be mounted horizontally that will screw through the 1/2 inch plywood into the large fur blocks.

170614 Final 2nd layer Insul (480x640).jpg
Here is the completed 2nd layer which is 3/4 inch polyiso. It takes a looooong time to cut all those pieces to fit between the various fur blocks because all the pieces are different sizes. This is only one wall, the curb side wall up to the RV door.

170614 Final 3rd layer Insul (480x640).jpg
Here is the 3rd layer which is 1 inch polyiso. It took hardly no time at all to install these big sheets ... very little cutting. Now I am ready to install the 1/2 inch plywood on this wall.

Here is the curbside window with foil tape installed within the opening to hide the exposed layers of polyiso. The tape serves as a temporary makeshift bezel.

170614 Ceiling Cove (480x640).jpg
Here is the cove where the walls meet the ceiling. The wiring lies withing this cove area. There are four different layers of odd shaped pieces of insulation installed in the cove area. Again, it took a long time to fit the pieces of insulation into this area.

170614 Flies (480x640).jpg
The flies were pretty bad today. Those are flies on the screen. Thank goodness I have screens in the trailer. However, they are quite pesky in the barn where I cut all the pieces.

170616 Curb Plywood 1.jpg
Here is the curbside wall with the 1/2 inch plywood installed. I am relieved that everything worked out great so now I can commence to insulate the other walls. The wires sticking out at the ceiling are for the interior light I will mount in the cove trim, yet to be installed. The wires at the door are for the interior light switch.

170616 Curb Plywood 2.jpg
Curbside wall again. I am glad I replaced the factory OSB siding with this sanded on one side plywood. I think that the 1/2 thickness will provide adequate foundation onto which I can fasten things with screws. I do not think the OSB would have been adequate because I think the screws would not hold as well as with the plywood. The plywood is bowed out a bit at one of the seems because I ran out of screws. I ordered more screws from Fastenal and hope to receive them next week.

170616 Curb Plywood window.jpg
Later on I will figure out how to trim out the window opening. The factory trim ring for the window is inset 2 1/4 inches from the face of the plywood because of the the thickness of the insulation. I made the inner diameter of the window opening large enough so that the factory trim ring can still be removed. I originally thought I could install another aluminum trim ring to dress our the opening but now realize I cannot because the window opening is larger than outside diameter of the trim ring.
