It's excitement with a tinge of, 'what are you getting yourself into'. I've been pondering this for a long time though, just happy i'm finally taking the steps to make it happen.

Don't you hate it when that happens.... In all seriousness though, Amazon didn't sent my charge controller with my solar kit. I was told to 'wait a day', but nothing yet. Guess i'll have to make another call.

Yes. I get very frustrated when stuff doesn't show up !
Since its late spring, I'm not going to be bottling for awhile. I've been trying to make some changes or quick ideas happen. Then last night I found my AC is recalled and it's a "do not use". Great, just when it's going to be needed. Recall was issued in Dec.

It is exciting getting ready for a build. Congrats! :applause:  :applause:

When I was building my teardrop, I think my neighbors thought my wife had something going on with the UPS guy since he was showing up so frequently.

Your not going to believe this. I called Amazon and explained what I was missing, and mentioned that I don't want to send the two panels I have back in. I just wanted them to send out the charge controller. She said that they will send me out a whole new kit (two solar panels and the charge controller), and that I can just keep what I already have! Can you believe that? I just got two free 100W renogy panels with hardware!! Amazing!!

Yes,
I can believe it. My friends order a futon with the drawer kit. The kit was damaged, they sent a new futon. So I have a complete futon, and I fixed the drawers.
How far from Mi are you? I'm in need of solar panels

Good for you! That is awesome! Glad it worked out like that for you. A guy could use a break once in a while!

Way to go Amazon Customer Service! So far, I have always had a good experience with them when I run into problems... which is rare.

I was just looking back on your thread and noticed the questions on the blackwater and gray water holding tanks. I was lucky and found some the were 15 inches wide by 72 inches long and about ~24 gallons each that came out of an old truck camper. They were a perfect between the 16 inch on center floor joists. If you could find something like that, it may work out for you. Especially on the gray water. It may be hard on the blackwater given your floorplan since the toilet has to go over the tank somewhere. Following is what I did if it gives you some ideas. The time to install then is before you start building inside. The easy way to mount them is with the floor out, but can be done with the floor in from below if you can jack the trailer up so you could work under there. This was easiest for me at the time.

Keep searching E-bay and etc. or maybe find an RV graveyard... I bet you could get what you need cheaply from there.

Ha, this will give me 5 100W Renogy panels. The thing is, that I don't think I will be able to fit all 5 on my roof. Mainly because I want two vents (I read this on the forum somewhere) and one sunlight, so I may not be able to fit all 5. When I get there, if this is the case; you can have the extra panel.

I was shocked. I asked her 3 times to make sure I was understanding correctly. Then I got an email from them saying I could 'donate, trash, or dispose of it', so now I have it in writing. Nice break.
