Anyone have a mod pod?

Do any of you have one of these or have you seen one in person? I can't find much info on these online, and I'm curious.

I've been looking at this sort of trailer for a while and stumbled across this one recently when looking at trailers and wishing I had money for one. I want a 1-2 dirtbike toy hauler and something that could also be camped in. I have looked at a similar model that I think Aluma (nope, WellsCargo) makes, but one cool thing about the Featherlite version is you can actually buy factory canvas for it. I'm thinking a 10' long x 5' tall one would actually give me space to stand up at 6'3" with the top popped.

What say you?

That is a very nice setup! I like it. Seems like it would be a good way to go.. Alot more like tent camping with a hard roof, but I can see where that would be very nice for towing behind a small vehicle, or off-road (flip axles for height).

You planning on getting one?

Not anytime soon. No dealers nearby, but I'll be camping near one soon so I was thinking I'd stop by and see what the saving goal would be and if they will add doors/windows and insulation during the initial build. I could probably get over half what they probably cost if I sold my motorcycles, but then what would I haul in it?...

Have you considered a utility trailer with a rack and tent. Some are homemade and other's are bought. It's been a few years since I was thinking about one. I'm on a cycle forum and a member had built one. Maybe You tube has something.
I just thought of the one, it's a Costco double duty utility trailer. But when I looked that up I got USA trailer stores.

I've looked at similar trailers. I already have a tent that I can set up in 5-10 minutes. I could just use that if I wanted to. I would like something enclosed for both hauling and sleeping. The canvas would just be a benefit for extra space for the kids until they are old enough to kick out into their own tent. That is the best price I've seen for that type of trailer. I'm used the name brand ones being multiple thousands of dollars for some expanded mesh and a tent. I used to have this little setup and really liked it, both for small size to haul into the backcountry on some really rough roads and for the quick setup and just being able to climb right into bed if it's raining etc. I think the Featherlite 1609 would be a nice upgrade with extra space and actual hauling capacity. I am not sure about the trailer though since I can't find any real world examples of people using them. Internet searches pretty much only show dealer and factory sites. I can at least find a few examples of people actually owning WellsCargo MPTs.
